Welcome to Brooklake Childcare & Learning, a ministry of Brooklake Church. The mission of Brooklake Childcare & Learning is to nurture each child in areas of physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development.
Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am – 6:00pm

Leadership Staff
Ms. Mandy
DIRECTOR
Ms. Mandy has worked in ECE for over 17 years. She obtained her ECE degree in California where she is from originally.
She has worked in many roles in the ECE world with her most recent one being Assistant Director. She has 2 lovely kids and a husky named Koa which she tries to spend as much of her free time with.
Ms. Janet
PROGRAM SUPERVISOR
Ms. Janet has worked with kids at her church since she was in middle school. She has earned the name “Toddler Tamer” at our center because of her smart discipline and gentle correction. Her goal is to finish her CDA during her time at Brooklake Childcare and Learning. When she isn’t studying for her college exams, she likes to spend time crafting and snowmobiling.

Ms. Marisa
INFANT LEAD TEACHER
Ms. Marisa has been working in childcare for 10 years now. She currently works in the infant class. When she is not here working with the kids, she is at home playing with her 2 kids and in her free time she loves to decorate her home and make memories with her friends and families
Ms. Estrella
INFANT ASSISTANT TEACHER
Ms. Estrella has been working with children for over 2 ½ years and is currently pursuing her degree in early childhood education. Ms. Estrella first began working with children as a Sunday School teacher at her home church. Her favorite time of the day is engaging with the children outside and working on the children gross motor skills. When Ms. Estrella is not in the classroom, she loves to spend time with friends and family and read.
Ms. Alex
WADDLER LEAD TEACHER
Ms. Alex has 2 1/2 years of experience with Brooklake Childcare and Learning. She is in school to get her ECE degree with a special certificate in Infant and Toddlers. When she is not in a classroom she enjoys being outdoors, going to concerts or sitting at her desk gaming.
Ms. Mattie
WADDLER ASSISTANT TEACHER
Mrs. Mattie has been working with children for 4 years.
Mrs. Mattie is pursuing her education in ECE in the upcoming semesters. She is new to BCL and is excited to create bonds with all the children and families. Her favorite part of working with children is large group time where she can engage with the class as a whole. When she is not in the classroom, she loves to spend time in the outdoors hiking and exploring with her husband.
Ms. Britanie
TODDLER 1 TEACHER
Ms. Britanie has earned her BA degree in Early Childhood education and has a Minor in Family Science. She has been working with children for 3 years. Her love for children is what drives her everyday. Her favorite part about being an educator is helping the children develop social and emotional skills. She also enjoys watching them grow and meet their milestones daily through her creative lesson plans.
When she is not in the classroom, Britanie loves to spend time with her two babies at home.
Ms. Selena
TODDLER ASSISTANT TEACHER
Ms. Selena has worked with kids for 3 years; she is excited to work the kids and teach them Spanish while helping in the classrooms as a Classroom assistant. When Ms. Selena isn’t teaching the kids, she enjoys running and walking with her daughter, she also loves to garden.
Ms. Martha
TODDLER ASSISTANT TEACHER
Ms. Martha has been working in the early childhood field for over 3 years and is currently working on her degree in ECE. Ms. Martha has a BA degree in Business as well. This is her first year here with us at BCL. Her favorite thing working as a teacher is helping the children reach their individual milestones. Her favorite time of the day is activities time with the children. Ms. Martha enjoys nature walks, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family when she is not in the classroom.
Ms. Edith
PRESCHOOL LEAD TEACHER
Ms. Edith, Has an AA in psychology, She would love to take her love for psychology and help children with it. She has previously worked as a lead teach in other centers. Ms. Edith grew up in South Texas in a small boarder town.
She loves spending time with her family, being outdoors. She is bilingual. Loves dogs and singing.

Ms. Jenny
CENTER AIDE
Ms. Jenny went to Todd Beamer high school where she did a program called PSSC, She did nursing in her junior year, and BioMed in her senior year. She graduated in June 2022. On her free time, she loves going out with friends, and her family. She has 2 sisters and 1 brother. She would love to be a pediatric nurse one day.
Ms. Berlyn
CENTER AIDE
Ms. Berlyn has been working with children for 5 years. This is her first year here at Brooklake. Her favorite time of the day is during the mornings when gets to first gets to greet the children and see their faces full of joy. Berlyn first started her career in childcare while working at her home church in the nursery. Aside from Childcare Berlyn studies Environmental Science. Her greatest joy about working here at BCL is connecting with all the children on a one-on-one level. Berlyn loves to play guitar, paint, and read books on her free time.
Ms. Jessica
CENTER AIDE
Ms. Jessica worked at the boys and girls club. She taught english to 4th graders for 1 semester in Mexico. She worked at La Petite as a cook/breaker for 1 year before coming here. She is married with a 2 year old. Her family enjoys playing board games with friends. When she isn;t doing that she likes to make candles for personal use or to gift.
